Above is a sample of what I will call my "Daily Musings."  My husband and I really believe in the written word.  Every morning, my husband leaves me what I call "Morning Notes."  Before he heads out the door for work, he writes to me about what is on his mind, which are always lovely written words to me.  I love him so much for the "Morning Notes."  I also need to be honest, if we had a fussy with each other the night before, he will also write about the situation in the morning as well, which I still adore, because I know what is on his mind. My husband has been writing to me for many years, whether in a letter, morning notes, or greeting cards, which I in turn, will give him a greeting card that says exactly what I am feeling.

Today, I want to say "Inspire", because you really can change the world, you can lift up another person through written words.  Today is a new day, I am feeling blessed and loved.  I hope you're feeling the same.

Sometimes, there comes a time when a piece of artwork or a pattern speaks to my heart.  Today, for me, this pattern is the one speaking to my heart.  I really enjoy working with pinks and greens.  Do not ask me why? Maybe, because pink is cheerful and, reminds me of summer, small children playing outside, and little girls saying "Pink is for Girls" and "Blue is for Boys."  Green reminds me of nature and, peaceful moments of being outside in beautiful gardens with flowers blooming every which way.

What does pink and green say to you?

Sometimes, there are days when I paint all my artwork one color and, then create a surface pattern in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. The elements in this surface pattern were all painted in cobalt blue.

Hello Everyone.  Well, I am back on the blog again.  My artwork is emerging from me with little "This and Thats." When an Artist has been away from creating, one has to take little tiny sweet steps to enable the creativity to emerge, once again.  For me, this is what is happening, small tiny steps. Grateful to have my paint brushes in my hand and watercolors swishing around in the ceramic paint holder.

I can find inspiration just about anywhere.  The surface pattern above is my interpretation of the roses my husband gave me for our wedding anniversary, last Thursday.  I never draw or paint the actual likeness of the subject.  I like to mix it up and use my own imagination.  I also like trying out new products from time to time.  On Saturday, a few new products arrived at our doorstep.  This week, I'm trying out watercolor paper, Artistico by Fabriano and, new pan watercolors by Sennelier.  I actually, love both products.  I believe they are keepers.  As an artist, I tend to purchase way too many art supplies, although, I do enjoy trying out new papers, mediums and, techniques. With doing so, it keeps the artwork fresh and new.

I am really excited about returning to freehand drawing and painting.  In the days ahead, I hope you will come along with me, so we can get to know each other.

Well, summer has come and gone.  I am looking forward to Fall.  How about you?

Has there ever been a time in your life where you had this feeling deep down inside your spirit, a nudging to move forward with something new, something different than you had been creating in the past.  There was a time, when I hand painted all my artwork, moving forward to digital artistry.  As I moved forward, there was always this little voice inside my spirit to take new direction. For a long time, years, I ignored the nudging, until this year, when the nudging became so strong, I could no longer avoid it. I can not say enough how happy I am to be picking up the paint brushes, to once again paint on watercolor paper. It really excites me to see what my hand, paint brushes, and watercolor paints are going to reveal while painting.  Please stay tuned, I am sure my style with watercolors will emerge and transform, while I am moving forward with my creativity.

Please come along with me, so we can both experience the new adventure.
